Description
An Arapaho name for “valley of the coyotes,” the Kawuneeche Valley cradles the Colorado River, whose headwaters are found northward along the Continental Divide at La Poudre Pass in the park. The meandering stream is home for a variety of wildlife, including the blue heron, the elusive river otter, coyotes, elk, and moose. This official collectable patch is part of the scenic icon series.
