Outdoor Explorers Fall 2023 After-school Club

Join Rocky Mountain Conservancy education staff for some hands-on learning in Rocky Mountain National Park!

This after school, exploration based, outdoor education program is for Estes Valley children enrolled in kindergarten through 3rd grade in the 2023-2024 school year. Estes Valley home-school students are welcome! Each week, Rocky Mountain Conservancy education staff will take kids on an outdoor adventure to investigate the ecology of Rocky Mountain National Park or practice outdoor skills, such as climbing, snow-shoeing, or hiking.

Programming begins at Estes Park Elementary School when the school day ends (approximately 3:00 p.m.). Transportation to Rocky Mountain National Park and other nearby public lands is provided by Rocky Mountain Conservancy, where children have the opportunity for free play, exploration, and educational experiences.
We will return to Estes Park Elementary School at 5:00 p.m. with pick up between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.

This is a 6-week program that begins on September 12 or September 14. If you select September 12, your student will attend all Tuesday programs. If you select September 14, you student will attend all Thursday programs.

Please have your child properly prepared for two hours of outside play. Kids will need an extra water bottle (not the one they keep in their classroom), weather-appropriate clothing, including rain gear, and weather-appropriate footwear or boots. We fill water bottles, have a quick snack, and get dressed for the outdoors before leaving the school.
