Families on the Trail – Bear Lake

Join us on this free Guided Family Hike at Bear Lake!
This educational trip will take you and your family from downtown Estes Park up to Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. We’ll travel together on the RMC bus, then walk around Bear Lake and learn about how the plants and animals of Rocky Mountain adapt to winter conditions. The hike is less than 1 mile along level, smooth terrain, but it may not be suitable for strollers.
Space is limited to 14 participants and pre-registration is required.
Who: Preschool and elementary school-age children AND their caregivers. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
What to bring: Warm layers, sun protection, and lots of water and snacks. Be prepared for snowy trails!
Where: Meet at the Estes Park Visitor Center, 500 Big Thompson Ave, Estes Park
When: Tuesday, November 22 at 1 pm
