Early Wildflowers of Rocky Mountain National Park – Additional Date!
Jun 11, 2023
We’ve added another session due to popular demand! Join Conservancy instructor Leanne Benton for an exploration of the early season wildflowers throughout Rocky Mountain National Park!
Some of the park’s early blooms are the loveliest, from tiny alpine forget-me-nots to colorful calypso orchids. We’ll start in the classroom for an informative lecture, and then search the park for these beauties as we explore a variety of Rocky’s habitats, from high alpine ridges to lower montane meadows. Participants will have a chance to hone their identification skills and get up close with the mountain flora. You’ll discover their amazing adaptations for survival in harsh conditions and the unique stories behind their beautiful faces.

When: Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
