Families on the Trail

Join us for a family-friendly morning excursion in Rocky Mountain National Park!
We will travel together on the Conservancy bus to various locations within Rocky Mountain National Park, where we’re go for a short hike and investigate the ecosystems we find. We’ll explore a new spot each week, with plenty of time for snacks and breaks. This program is intended for elementary school-aged children and their caregivers, and older/younger siblings are welcome to attend. Hikes are typically one to two miles in length, but may be over unpaved or uneven terrain not be suitable for strollers.

Who: Elementary school-age children AND their caregivers
Where: Meet at the Estes Park Visitor Center, 500 Big Thompson Ave, Estes Park
When: Thursdays in June and July from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Check back for additional dates!)
What to bring: An extra layer/rain jacket for everyone in your group, sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat, and lots of water and snacks
